It's been how long?

A week? Crazy! I've wanted to post updates multiple times but I've been so busy I haven't had time to sleep hardly. Just kidding, you guys know me - I have to have my sleep. But other things have really been neglected.

Okay, the boys played in two different tournaments last weekend. I'm ecstatic to tell you that Tristan's team won 1st place in theirs and Aidan's team made it to the championship game but they tied at the end of regulation and went to a shoot-out. Unfortunately, two of our players missed their goals and we got 2nd place but that's still pretty awesome!

Aidan and his friend posing for an awesome soccer picture!

Tristan and Aidan with their medals and a very cool ball that Tristan found at his field. (We asked for two days if anyone was missing a ball so he got to keep it.)

Uncle Jeremy came to spend the crazy weekend with us. He got to watch all of the action and suffer through the rain with us. (I don't think he'll be volunteering to come to any more tournaments! It was that hectic.)

We also celebrated the last day of school yesterday! Aidan had to say goodbye to one of his new best friends, Nathan. They are really a pair!

Tristan had his first ever soccer tryouts this week. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. I'm so excited to share with you all that he made the 1st team! He's one of 16 boys who made it! What a reward for all of his hard work and dedication. I'm so happy for him and extremely proud. I had a twist thrown at me though. Who would have thought that his new coach would ask me to be the team manager after offering him the position on the team? Now, this is something that I had to sleep on but I did end up accepting and I need all of your prayers! It's probably going to be time consuming and I have a group of parents with strong personalities to deal with who can be quite demanding but I like to challenge myself and I want to give it a shot.

Lastly, T got his retainers today. Top and bottom! He's quite the expensive fella now - walking around with $2000.00 in his mouth, ha!

Aidan has a soccer tournament with his Academy team this weekend but the schedule is pretty easy for us. All of our games are in the afternoon and I'm looking forward to finally sleeping in!

Happy Memorial Day to you all!

I'll be in Denver all weekend so I wanted to go ahead and wish you all a great Memorial Day weekend. Hope it's a 3 day weekend for you also and don't forget the true meaning behind this holiday! We just lost our 1st female Air Force Academy graduate in Afghanistan yesterday. I pray these wars will end soon; I want our troops home.

Come on Nuggets!

Got my shirt on today and I'll be watching them tonight! We need this win to have a chance in the series. Tuesday's game was a heartbreaker so I hope we have the opposite results tonight.

Jeremy is on his way to our house right now! The boys are so excited and honestly I am too. He's going to hang with us for a bit and we love that, it's been a while since we've seen any family. Hope we don't wear him out though; we'll be in Denver Friday - Monday for 2 soccer tournaments and then Tuesday Tristan has tryouts.

Here's my guy - Chris Andersen, aka Birdman! He reminds me of Dennis Rodman who I loved when he was playing. Very exciting to watch and he has an awesome personal story.

I hate it...

when someone steals your food out of the fridge at work. This is now the 4th time that someone has taken my yogurt. How ridiculous is this? I'm the youngest person here so I would think that whoever is doing this knows better. In a matter of three hours my snack for the day was gone. Uggghh!

By the way, I watched Farrah's Story, about her battle with cancer and was completely moved! If I ever face something like that I hope to have only half of her courage. Wow.

I tournament down, 3 to go!

Tristan and Aidan played together in a tournament over the weekend and I'm happy to say they won their age group! Their first 3 games came pretty easy to them but the championship game was a nail biter! We went to overtime tied 1-1 and finally got another goal (Aidan assisted the goal) to take 1st place.

Here'a a picture of the hot, tired, but happy team:

I've got a killer headache this morning from overdoing it this weekend. Come on Advil, take me away.

Tristan's 800m Race

These are long - I'm sorry! If you notice the wind - it's always windy here!

Aidan's 800m race

This is a bit longer than the first videos but I hope you are able to watch it! I'm so very proud of him!

Breakfast in Bed!

Tristan surprised me on Mother's day with this wonderful breakfast in bed! From what he told me the pancakes didn't turn out so I had eggs, toast with grape jelly, toast with strawberry jelly, and a tall glass of OJ (not pictured). How cool!!

It was hilarious that my friend Cathie (Aidan's soccer coach) also got breakfast in bed and we both had taken pictures on our phones. I definitely came out on top though - she got an egg still in the shell (not cooked), two pieces of bread with ketchup, and a glass that looked like OJ but was raw egg!

Quick update!

Had a lot going on so I'll update you guys really quick!
Aidan had another eye exam yesterday. All is well, he still doesn't need glasses. (I think he wants glasses but he doesn't need them.)
Tristan went to the dentist to get more impressions made for his retainers. He has crowding issues and they are jump-starting the process of making space for him before his braces. The dentist did want to pull two teeth (it was a recommendation from the lab) but I questioned him on it and he decided we could wait and see if the retainers do the job first. Cool!
I rushed through work this morning to get things done in half the time as usual! The boys are waiting for me at home and we have a date for lunch and a movie!

Last but not least! Happy Birthday to my Hubby!

Don't party too much without us.

New bag!

It's huge!!! I'm calling it my "mom bag" because it can hold everything that I need for myself and the boys. Once the soccer tournaments are finished up this month then I can switch to a smaller one. See the black binder sticking out? It's the notebook I need with all of their soccer info.
I can even fit in my lunch and I don't have to carry another tote to work!

Tristan's 1st Track Meet

Tristan blew away his group in the 100 meters!

(He's the one in the red!)

Here's a short video of Tristan's 1st ever 400 meter race. He won it! (As you'll hear me say on the video.)

The thing that choked me up was seeing Aidan and Joel run along side him at the end of the race! I'm so glad I got that on video, it was priceless.

Aidan's 1st Track Meet

Aidan ran the 100 meters and he tied for 1st!

Here's a short video of Aidan running his first ever 400 meter race! He got 2nd place!

Do I live in Seattle?

Our weather has been horrible lately.

We had five games and the results were two ties, two losses, and one win! Exhausting!

Friday night's game was played in the cold foggy rain and I didn't get a break from it on Saturday either. Here's what it looked like from our house and on the way to the park:

Thank God I knew the way to the park! It was very difficult to drive in and miserable to sit through. Aidan and I were frozen by the end of the first game!

Track meet tonight (Hopefully. If it's not raining.) look for an update tomorrow!
