Our Student of the Month!

Pardon me while I brag for a bit!!!
Tristan was one of eleven students who were chosen as "Student of the Month" in 6th grade. His little card gives him 3 homework passes, discounts at all school activities, and the ability to cut in front of the lunch line!
We are extremely proud of him!

Funny story

When the technician was printing up our pictures from the 4D ultrasound Friday, she pulled up a screen with a list of her recent patients. Next thing I know the boys announce, "Mom, you are the oldest person on this list!" Wow, I could have just died. The technician let out a little giggle and then I said, "Thanks guys!"

A few hours later I did ask Tristan how old the next oldest mom was and he said, "32, but I bet that's because she's just now having her first baby not her third."

Kids say the craziest things right?

Would you like to meet our baby?

We had our 4D ultrasound today and it was amazing! This is how our session started out, with his hands in front of his face. We had to poke a little and then I moved onto my side which made him very happy.

I can't believe how grown up he looks at only 26 weeks! In the picture above he's holding his umbilical cord.

Na-na-a-boo-boo! He's sticking out his tongue! (The bubbles across his chest is his cord again.)

Sweet baby! The dark shadow to the left is the placenta that he's behind and to the right he's nestled up against the uterine wall. We know because Josh asked. This is Daddy's favorite picture.

Phoenix Recap

Whew, I never thought I would finally get around to updating you guys on our trip! Guess this is one reason to be thankful for the little guy waking me up at 2 a.m. with his kicking, ha!

We had a pretty good time in Phoenix! Actually, everyone had a good time from what I've heard from the other parents. For me, it was a ton of work and I still haven't recovered yet. I'm very thankful that we decided to stay the extra day for Tristan's birthday because that's when I finally got around to taking some pictures.

Us!
We love seeing the palm trees and this one was just too pretty to pass up! Look at that blue sky!

Tristan chose to go to CrackerJax, a fun park about 15 minutes from the hotel. To Aidan's disappointment - all of the waterparks had closed on Labor Day.
This picture is Tristan finally making his way around Dad and Aidan. I don't think I've ever seen a bigger smile on his face!

Miniature Golf! They were able to play two courses with Josh winning the first and Aidan winning the second.

Bumper boats!

This was our fantastic view from the hotel! The cool thing is that they do have mountains but they are mostly rock covered with cactus.

We couldn't pass up a cactus picture but I'm sad that the shadows got in the way.

A perfect ending to our extra night. He had a fantastic 12th birthday and continues to tell me that he's not leaving me in 7 years. I'm holding on to that for now, ha!

24 week OB appt!

Sorry for the lack of posts this week. We are getting ready for the trip to Phoenix on Friday and it's craaaazy!

Had my regular appt this morning and all is well! Here's the breakdown:

Heart rate - 150
Blood pressure - 90/60 I think she said. Anyway, it's really good which is amazing after all of the stress I've been under this week.
Weight - gained 9 lbs so far this pregnancy!
Labwork - hopefully today's was my last but I won't know until Friday when the results come back. I got to drink the wonderful glucose this morning and had blood drawn to check for diabetes and anemia.

That's the scoop! I'll post pictures from Phoenix when I can! Let's pray that I don't strangle any of the soccer parents who are on my last nerve already.

New picture!

23 weeks!!!! I can't believe it, this pregnancy has flown by and I can honestly say that I've enjoyed every single day of it so far.

For those of you with great eyesight - yes, this is a swimsuit. I have a friend who let me go through all of her maternity clothes and take what I wanted. This has helped me because maternity clothes are extremely expensive and I think I'm a bit picky since it takes me so long to actually find something that I like. Anyway, we're going to Phoenix next week and it's hot there but I didn't have any shorts/summer clothes because I've focused more on what I could wear from Fall to Winter. Now I have some options and a suit to wear at the waterpark when we celebrate T's birthday!

1st Baby Purchase

I ordered a "co-sleeper!" This pulls up next to the side of our bed and the fabric hanging down tucks under your mattress. The baby will still have his "own" bed but be close enough so that I can try to get as much sleep as possible. It'll be helpful during those night feedings also. It can also be used as a bassinet if you raise the side up. Once he outgrows those two options it will be our play pen.

I was a bit worried about putting it together because most of the negative reviews had to do with the lack of instructions but my hubby had it put together in 20 minutes!!! I love looking at it in the room ;)
