4th full of hail!

Thank goodness we didn't have any grand plans outside for the 4th! We would have looked like our neighbors who were frantically taking down canopies and putting up chairs in the rain and hail. Tristan made this #1 from the hail that was on our deck. (He said a 4 was too hard to make, ha!)
Don't worry, we still had fireworks. We just stood in the comfort of our garage as we lit them and threw them out into the lower part of our driveway/street. We had to stay away from these little buggars because if they hit you, it hurt!

I think this is the largest hail we've ever had here in 11 years. But it was still a great holiday spent with wonderful friends in the comfort of our home.

Anyways, Glad to hear you guys still got to shoot fireworks after all. That weather is crazy! Exciting too I am sure. Love you!

Okay, something I never thought of - when you have bad weather on the 4th, your neighbors will insist on doing their fireworks the night of the 5th! Ugghh, I was really looking forward to some much needed rest!
