3 little bumps

So a few days ago Josh asked me to look at the left side of his back in the middle.  He had 3 little bumps that were itchy so I applied some benadryl and didn't think another thing about it.  Last night he said that those 3 little bumps were really painful and asked me to look again.  Those 3 little bumps turned into about 8 and when I looked I immediately thought he had shingles.  Google here I come...

Once you get past the first sympton which is "normally occurs in people over the age of 60" he had most of the other symptoms.  Ugh, shall I remind everyone that I've never had the chickenpox?

It was confirmed by his doctor this morning and now we all wait and pray that the boys and I don't get chickenpox.  (They've been immunized and I have a natural immunity but it can still happen.)

The hypocondriac in me can not stop itching and I feel like I'm getting sick!

Update on Tristan

Tristan's team on their way to Vegas.  (He's the second from the bottom right.)

One month with the growth hormone and he's gained 6 pounds!  We aren't sure about his height but he's super happy to be putting on some weight.

The big 13

Aidan's 13!  He's been wanting to get his ears pierced for years now (just like dad).  Saturday was the big day!

It was a piece of cake!  He didn't flinch or make a sound.

Two things shocked me - how well he handled it and how much it costs!!!  Woah!

Vegas

We've been home now a week and I'm still not sure that we've recovered from our Vegas trip.  It was long, busy, and depressing due to the results of our soccer games.

Maybe I should have known something when I saw these two on the plane going to Vegas!  Aidan and his best friend Jack passed out on the plane.

Josh and I gave our chaperones a little break Friday afternoon by showing a movie in our room.

Somebody turned 2 during our Vegas trip!

The boys were so sweet to sing him Happy Birthday during their dinner Friday night!

The boys played under the lights in Vegas.

We had every kind of weather except for snow.  We got cool weather, rainy weather, and then cold and windy weather.  If I closed my eyes I would have thought I was in Colorado still.

We brought a present for Pax to open on his big day.  His animals were a big hit and went to the fields with us :)

The Stratosphere is a really cool sight in Vegas!

Paris!

I absolutely love the hotels on the Strip.  They are amazing and it's so much fun to see it all.

Pax on the Strip.  We went early Sunday morning at 8:00 a.m.  We seemed to have it all to ourselves.

The Bellagio normally has the fountain show out front but it doesn't start until 3 p.m.  It's still a gorgeous site.

15 boys in 1 hot tub!  Need I say more?
